Headliner Jay-Z answered his critics with a crowd-pleasing performance, opening his set with a cover of Oasis classic Wonderwall (a wry dig at Noel Gallagher, who described hip-hop as "wrong" for Glastonbury) and throwing in samples of Amy Winehouse, Estelle and The Prodigy. The rapper told the 100,000-strong crowd: "For anyone who didn't get the memo - I'm Jay-Z and I'm pretty f**king awesome".
