An imposing and impressive structure, particularly when viewed aerially, the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion is the home of Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.
Housing over 53,000 spectators, the stadium has been modernised at a cost of over 50million euros in a phased programme over the last two years.
Initially called the Neckarstadion, the arena has been hosting sporting events since 1933 and has been upgraded regularly in the intervening years.
