The technique
Hold the ball like a normal leg break as depicted in the image. This time, however, your thumb does most of the work.
On release, try to mimic the action of clicking your thumb and fingers together to send the ball spinning in a clockwise direction with the seam facing the batsman for that all important straight on 'fizz' off the wicket. It's actually a back-spinner.

Warne bamboozles Bell: 1st test match, Lords 2005
That man Warne again during the recent series against England. It's a moment Ashes newcomer Ian Bell will want to forget, raising his bat above his head and padding up to a ball which zipped off the turf, hitting him below the knee roll and leaving him plum LBW. He was, of course, expecting the stock leg break. Beautiful disguise from the great man.
