Connection
Direct Connection
The simplest and fastest way to enjoy online console gaming with Xbox Live is to create a direct connection between your Xbox and ntl broadband cable modem.
This will allow you to start playing online without having to set-up a home network, or purchase any additional hardware. However you will not be able to use your PC and Xbox at the same time and will have to restart your modem and switch a cable between your PC and Xbox whenever you want to play.
Once connected you can follow the instructions in your Xbox Live pack.
Using a router
