Finally, locate the "Restore Factory Settings" switch on the Wireless Router. It is located behind a small hole on the rear of the router:

Using a paperclip, pen point or similar, press in gently (you will feel a slight click as the switch is pressed), hold for 5 seconds, and release. Wait a few seconds until the "green tick light" on the front of the Wireless Router goes out.
Your Wireless Router is now upgraded. Please note that the "User Name" and "Password" are now virgin and password NOT telewest and password as printed on the underside of the router
Using a web browser on the PC, type the following into the "Address bar": 192.168.1.1. Then hit Enter.
You will see a window like this:

This confirms that the Wireless Router upgrade has been successful.
Now remove the LAN connection cable between the Wireless Router and the PC.
You will also have to remove the existing Telewest/Blueyonder Wireless Home Networking software from your PC. The following procedure must be followed for all PCs on your home network that have the software installed. You may need log in to your PC as "Administrator" to perform this procedure.
Click the Windows "Start" button at the bottom left of the screen, and select "Control Panel" from the menu.
Now double click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon. You will see a list of installed programs. Scroll down until you see the item "blueyonder Wireless Connection Manager" and click on this line. You will see the following window:

Click on "Change/Remove". A window will appear prompting you to confirm the removal, click on "Yes". When the removal has finished, you will be asked to reboot your PC. Click on "OK" and once the PC has rebooted you have completed the process.
You have now made your Wireless Router and PC ready for the Virgin Media Home Networking Installation. Please insert the new CD into the first PC you want to connect, and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Wireless Network.
