If you want to change your email password, you’ll need to change your router password as well, since they have to be the same. It’s easy – just go to Changing the router password to find out how.
If you use Outlook Express 6 to send and receive emails, here’s how to enter your new password here as well.
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click on Tools, then click on Accounts, as shown below:
The Internet Accounts window opens, as shown below:
- Select the Mail tab and you’ll see a list of all your current email accounts.
- Select the Virgin Media account that you want to change the password for, and click on Properties. The Mail Account Properties window opens.
- Click on the Servers tab to open this window:
- Delete the current password by clicking in the white box to the right of Password and deleting any text in there.
- Type in your new password and leave the rest of the information as it is.
- Click on OK to exit this screen, then click on Close to close the Internet Accounts window.
That’s it! Your Outlook Express 6 password is changed.
