If you can’t see all your emails, the usual reason is that your account is set up to use a viewing filter, which hides some of your messages. To check it out:
- Open Outlook Express as normal.
- From the main menu, click on View and then select Current View - a menu like this one opens:

In this example Hide Read Messages is selected (shown by the black spot next to it). This means you can see any new emails, but once you’ve read them you won’t see it again in your inbox.
- Change the setting to the one you want. For example, click on Show All Messages to make sure you can see all your messages – old and new – in the Inbox.

That’s it. Close the menu when you’ve finished, and the new settings take affect straight away.
