If your email address ends in @virginmedia.com, click here. To set up Mail for Mac OS X 10.3 for your @virgin.net email address, do the following:
- Start up Mail.
- From the Mail menu, select Preferences, as shown below:
- From the General window, select Accounts as shown below:
- Click on the Plus sign in the bottom left corner, as shown above.
- Set your Account Type to POP.
- In the Description text box, type Virgin Broadband.
- In the Email Address text box, type your.name@virgin.net (where your.name is the first part of your email address).
- Type your name in the Full Name text box. This is the name that displays in the From field when people receive emails from you. Most people use their full name (first name and surname, for example Richard Branson), however you can choose any name. This does not have to be the same as your email address.
- In the Incoming Mail Server text box, type in pop.virgin.net.
- In the User Name and Password text boxes, type in your email address and password.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) drop-down list, select Add Server. Then type in smtp.virgin.net.
- Make sure None is shown next to Authentication.
- Click on Advanced. The following screen displays:
- Make sure that the Remove copy from server after receiving a message check box is ticked, as shown above.
- Close the window (by clicking on the red circle at the top-left).

That's it! Your email address is set up, and ready for use in Mail for Mac.
