When you install the toolbar, we make two changes to your search settings to help you find what you're looking for. You can switch either of them off if you want. The first is called Error Redirection. This means that if you mistype a website address or follow a link to a website that no longer exists, we can give you a list of suggestions and related links.
To switch off this feature, click on "Options" in the toolbar, and untick the "DNS Error" box under "Advanced Options".
The second is called AddressBar Search. This means that if you type a search term into your browser address bar, you will now get Virgin Media search results, the same as you would if you typed the search into the toolbar or on our homepage.
