Download PCguard
Before you download:
We recommend printing these instructions using the printer-friendly version of this page to help guide you through the download and installation process.
Remember, depending on the speed of your broadband service downloading PCguard may take a few minutes.
Before installing PCguard, please close down all other applications.
PCguard download instructions
Click the 'Download PCguard now' link at the bottom of this page. The 'File Download' dialog box will then appear.
Click the 'Run' button as shown below:
Once the download is complete, installation of 'PCguard Advisor' will begin to guide you through the rest of the setup process. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
During installation, you may be asked to uninstall any existing security software that may conflict with PCguard.
To get the best performance from PCguard, we strongly recommend you remove your existing software and use PCguard as your single, comprehensive security service.
To uninstall a conflicting program, select it in the 'Conflicting Programs' window, click on the 'Uninstall' button as shown below and follow the uninstall instructions:
Note: If you are prompted to restart your computer, we recommend you do this. PCguard installation will automatically resume after your restart.
Once you've uninstalled existing security software (if any), PCguard will resume installation automatically.
Simply follow the instructions in the PCguard Install Wizard to complete the installation.
Once PCguard is successfully installed, you will see the following icon on your desktop:
